Frac hose or fracking hose refers to the multi-purpose hoses used at a fracking site. ‘Fracking’ refers to the process of opening rock formations to release natural gases and oil by the use of hydraulic fracturing. Specialized frac hose assemblies are used to transfer necessary fracturing fluids such as water, oil, and hydrochloric acid. Fracking fleets can consist of a variety of oilfield service trucks and tanks that feature applications in which the proper hose can be a problem solver.
Unisource offers five different frac hose specs.
- Our Series 2270 is a corrugated ‘tank hose’ with hard-wall and rated for 150 PSI W.P.. It can handle brine, crude oil, drilling mud, mild chemicals, petroleum waste, sediments, sludge, and water.
- Series 2275 ‘frac blender hose’ is rated for 400 PSI W.P. and is a discharge hose with the same material capabilities as above, plus will be called upon to transfer sand slurries. This hose is also available in Series 2275AC–with our exclusive “Armor-Clad” UHMWPE cover for severe abrasion resistance.
- Series 2285 is our corrugated oilfield suction hose, rated for 150 PSI W.P. and is intended for oilfield waste pit recovery, tank truck service, and ‘oilfield vacuum trucks’.
- Series 2290 is our highest temperature rated tank truck hose. Rated for 150 PSI W.P. and 350 Deg. F. petroleum products.
- Finally, Series 2295 is our hot oil transfer hose for high-pressure applications. This hose is rated for 2250 PSI W.P. and 300 Deg. F. intermittent or 275 Deg. F. continuous temperatures. It is wire braid reinforced. Used to clear paraffin around casing piping, tanks and tubing to help begin the flow of oil.

Series 2295 is a heavy duty, high-pressure hose specifically designed for the transfer of hot oil at 275°F continuous / 300°F intermittent. The cover is highly resistant to abrasion, heat, oil, and weathering. The wire braid reinforcement provides 2250 PSI working pressure. Excellent for asphalt, glue, tar, oil, and wax. In oil drilling applications is used to clear paraffin around casing, piping, tanks and tubing to help begin the flow of oil.
