PTFE pigtails, along with ETFE core pigtails are the the best all-around choice for flexible hose pigtails in many compressed gas applications. These hose pigtails are high-pressure, low-effusion, light, flexible and economical. They are ideal for many industrial gases and can be ordered with options including threaded ends, attached CGA nuts and nipples, protective anti-kink armor, and can be cleaned, capped, and bagged for O2 service to CGA G4.1 guidelines. Live swivel ends or compression tube ends available also. For additional safety, ask about our cable tethered assemblies. Pressure ratings available from 3000 PSI working pressure to 6000 PSI working pressure.

Style TSC 3000 PSIG PTFE Pigtails
Style TSC PTFE pigtails are the workhorse of the industry. Light and highly flexible, this style carries a working pressure rating of 3000 PSI maximum working pressure. Each pigtail assembly is tested to 4500 PSIG. Constructed with a white, non-conductive PTFE liner. Fittings are available in both brass and stainless steel. Stainless steel full-time swivel ends are also a standard stock item for this hose. An anti-kink “Safety Armor” is available for additional protection. Each hose is marked with branding noting manufacturer, pressure rating,
and date of manufacture. CGA fittings and adapters can be added as required.
Style TSC flexible pigtails have a minimum burst pressure rating of four times the maximum working pressure. The optional stainless steel armor casing allows free movement of the hose and protects the hose from damage. This casing also acts as a bend restrictor to prevent kinking near the connections.
Special heavy duty brass fittings are used on armored assemblies which work in conjunction with a matching stainless steel crimp collar over the armor for extra end pull protection. Brass Extension Adapter BE-4-3HP is recommended in oxygen applications to absorb the heat experienced in adiabatic compression and eliminate possible damage to the PTFE tube if the pigtail is quickly pressurized with oxygen against a closed valve or regulator

Style TSCZ 3600 PSIG Low-Effusion PTFE Pigtails
Style TSCZ PTFE pigtails are similar in construction to Style TSC, with the addition of a second reinforcing braid and a post-sintered PTFE lining that dramatically reduces permeation. The reinforcing provides a working pressure of 3600 PSI maximum working pressure for additional strength and safety. Fitting options are identical to Style TSC hose. Constructed with a white, non-conductive PTFE liner. Fittings are available in both brass and stainless steel. Stainless steel full-time swivel ends are also a standard stock item for this hose.

Style TSCZEL ETFE “Extreme Low-Effusion Pigtails
Unisource now offers the ideal flexible pigtail for use with small molecule gases. Style TSCZEL ETFE pigtails offers up to 75% less effusion than standard PTFE pigtails, with a cost that is a fraction of that of welded all-stainless steel pigtails.
Style TSCZEL pigtails are used throughout the industry in the filling of helium and hydrogen cylinders and can also be used for many other high-pressure gases. (Contact Unisource for specific gas compatibility).
Smooth bore, medium-pressure ETFE tubing is protected by an exterior stainless steel braid. Standard Style TSCZEL pigtails are rated for 3000 PSIG maximum working pressure. Special order Style TSCZELZ is double braided and rated for 3500 PSIG.
Style TSCZEL hose has a temperature range of -100°F to 250°F. Like standard PTFE pigtails, it offers extreme flexibility and light-weight characteristics.
Options include end fittings of brass or stainless steel and configurations
of 1/4” FNPT, 1/4” FNPT swivel, 1/4” MNPT, and an assortment of other fittings equal to those offered for standard PTFE pigtails. For additional safety, these pigtails can be manufactured with our stainless steel anti-kink armor casing. In addition, CGA nut and nipple combinations can be factory installed, along with options such as check valve nipples, hand-tight adapters, elbows, and other adapters. Style TSCZEL pigtails are degreased, 100% tested to 1-1/2 times the working pressure, and ready for installation. Not recommended for oxygen service.

Style TSHD 6000 PSI PTFE Pigtails
Style TSHD PTFE pigtails are designed for the most demanding of high pressure applications. This hose in constructed with a smooth bore PTFE inner core, four layers of stainless steel braid, and rated for 6000 PSIG MAWP. An optional anti-kink “Safety Armor” is available for added protection.
The reinforcing consists of an inner braid, two spiral layers, and an out braid.
Each hose is marked with an aluminum belly band noting the working pressure and date manufactured. All assemblies are pressure tested to 1-1/2 times the working pressure and have a minimum burst pressure rating four times the maximum working pressure.
The optional stainless steel armor casing allows free movement of the hose and protects the hose from damage. This casing also acts as a bend restrictor to prevent kinking near the connections.
